Sunday's are always good for lounging in bed especially if you had fallen asleep the evening before and then woken up to get ready for bed and struggled to get to sleep. I was a bit grumpy to find room service still come round at 10.30am! Reluctantly I rose from my pit and got dressed.
At lunchtime Robyn and her mum came to the lodge to pick me up. Robyn and I spent so long talking we had to be moved out of the walk way by her mum as we were taking up the space! We ended up spending about 4 hours in Starbucks where they kindly treated me to lunch which was very much appreciated. Robyn and I were both educated in mainstream schools so it was really interesting to share our experiences and how they differ from the USA and the UK. We nattered on about all sorts of things and we had a great time. We will definitely be meeting up when I am over here or she comes over to the UK.
I got back just in time for the BBQ at the lodge which is held twice a year by volunteers. They had burgers, salad, cake and cookies. I had a good chat to the volunteers and some of the guests and my usual daily chat with the guy from canada who's dad comes from near Hartlepool.
I was overwhelmed from all the excitement and went to bed quite early.
